Floral Brushes
Creating custom brushes in Adobe Photoshop is as simple as finding the right stock. And with thousands of stock images available through Envato Market, you can create your own garden of floral brushes in a matter of a few short steps.
In this quick video, learn how to create an easy floral brush as well as how to customize the brush settings in Adobe Photoshop.
How to Create Flower Brushes in Adobe Photoshop
Step 1
One of the best ways to create Photoshop brushes is to create one from a photo. Let's start by choosing a stock from PhotoDune on Envato Market.
Open it in Photoshop and go to Image > Adjustment > Hue and Saturation. Decrease the Saturation to -100 to turn the flower black and white.

Step 2
To make sure your flower brush has plenty of detail, go to Image > Adjustments > Curves, bringing down the curve of the RGB channel to help define the petals and flower details.

Step 3
Use the Rectangular Marquee Tool to select the flower, and then go to Edit > Define Brush Preset and name your new brush.
Test out your floral brush on a new document. For an even better brush, hit F5 on your keyboard to bring up the Brush panel. Select Brush Tip Shape and change the Spacing to 150%. Then select Shape Dynamics and increase the Size Jitter to 100%.
